The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has unveiled its line-up of events for the third annual International Trade Week (ITW).
In partnership with industry, DBT is running a week of events from 5-11 November, all dedicated to boosting UK trade and supporting businesses to sell their goods to the world. The full programme can be seen here.
So far, more than 1,400 businesses have registered to take part in ITW 2023, with DBT expecting this number to grow.
Four themes
This year, the events are centred around four key themes:
- Practical advice on exporting for goods and services
- Government services to help exporters
- Securing investment from overseas
- Trade opportunities in the Middle East, Indo-Pacific and the USA
ITW will have in-person events taking place across the UK for all five days, as well as a multitude of online sessions.
CPTPP explained
The Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT) will be hosting a webinar on 8 November, 3-4pm, on how exporters can make the most of Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
The webinar aims to provide a practical outlook on how UK businesses can navigate, benefit from and overcome the challenges presented by trading with CPTPP countries, and will feature a Q&A session.
The host of the CPTPP webinar, IOE&IT executive editor William Barns-Graham, said:
