The Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT) has this week announced to its members that it will soon be rebranding and becoming the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade in what it describes as “an exciting and pivotal moment”.
IOE&IT was granted a Royal Charter by His Majesty King Charles III earlier this year and its members voted through new Articles of Association at an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) in April, allowing it to move towards becoming the Chartered Institute.
“This is one of the highest honours His Majesty can bestow on an organisation and is acknowledgement of the professional status of you, our members, as well as recognition of the Institute’s important role in empowering global trade and its high-standing in public life,” IOE&IT director general Marco Forgione said in an email to members on Monday.
New identity
IOE&IT has told its members and followers that it will be sharing a new brand and identity that “showcases our new status” over the coming weeks.
It also said it would share updates on how it will evolve its services to “further empower you in trade”, while answering members’ questions on “what becoming the Chartered Institute means” via an FAQ section of its website.
Members were invited to send in their questions for this FAQ by emailing clientservices@export.org.uk.
New chapter
IOE&IT also notified its wider community of the news, inviting those who are not yet members to sign up to join the Chartered Institute and “become part of this exciting new chapter for UK trade”.
“Membership at the Chartered Institute empowers businesses and trade professionals to thrive in global trade through our world-class educational services, exclusive insights and updates, networking opportunities at our industry-leading events, and so much more,” Forgione said.
