Last week Dave Maisey, one of the Institute’s Trustee Directors and the CEO and Founder Director of ICC Solutions, was proud to receive a Cheshire Business Leaders Award for Outstanding Cheshire & Warrington Business Leader 2018. The award recognises an Outstanding Business Leader who has shown exceptional vision and leadership at the helm of a successful and growing business, which has also contributed to the development, and reputation of the whole sub-region.
He received the award at the High Sheriff of Cheshire’s Awards for Enterprise held at Chester Racecourse. Dave was nominated for his leadership of ICC Solutions since 1996, with the company going from strength to strength over the last 21 years and becoming a recognised leader in the payments industry, winning an exceptional four Queen’s Awards for Enterprise for Innovation and International Trade.
Dave has also been instrumental in the ‘Young International Traders’ project we’re running with the Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Last year he asked us to support the pilot campaign he ran in the North of England, which saw over 30 students from six schools form teams to work through the challenges and hurdles that small businesses have to navigate in order to export successfully. They used their initiative to research product ideas and overseas markets using resources including the Open to Export Action Plan tool.

Dave is involved in additional charity activities over and above the work that he does for ICC Solutions, the DofE and IOE&IT, and is a great supporter of the Warrington Youth Club , Cheshire Community Foundation and Cheshire Connect.
Most recently Dave has become Vice-Chair and a Trustee of the Merseyside & Cheshire Commonwealth Association (MCCA), being instrumental in celebrating Commonwealth Day on 12 March 2018 with a launch event attended by H.R.H. The Earl of Wessex. The MCCA helps form effective regional and national bilateral links between government, business, civil society and the educational communities of the Commonwealth.
We at Export House would all like to congratulate Dave on this latest accolade and are proud to name him among our supporters.
