Working with the new Open to Export website has given the IOE a chance to explain how important it is to know exactly what you’re talking about as far as international trade is concerned. This month sees the introduction of a new enhancement to the ever growing website, a Trust Mark for those giving advice or mentoring businesses.
Open to Export has recognised membership of the IOE as an endorsement of exporting excellence with our members now able to proudly highlight the mark of quality assurance on their websites and other marketing materials.
Open to Export is the community driven service for small and medium sized businesses, looking for support in exporting from the UK. The service is delivered by hibu (formerly Yell Group), in partnership with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). The organisation’s aim is to share best practice and support in order to build the much needed professionalism in international trade that the UK needs. As part of this process, they requested the creation of a system of accreditation on the Open to Export website, which will identify our members as sources of quality and reliable advice.
An IOE Trust Mark on the Open to Export website is available for full members or
graduates that are following or booked to follow our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme. This will let your existing and potential customers know that you are an experienced exporter and that you are qualified to give advice and opinions that can be relied upon.
When you create or update your profile on the Open to Export website, you can now add that you are an accredited member of the IOE (this is verified by us) and your accreditation will show in your biography in your public profile as an IOE Trust Mark. Accreditation will be verified for members who are engaged in our CPD programme.
