We are delighted to announce that David Maisey, a longstanding member of the IOE&IT and a former Trustee Director on our board, has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours List.
Dave and his wife and business partner Wendy were both recognised with the OBE following two decades exporting with their company ICC Solutions Ltd.
They are among a number of leading figures involved in International Trade to be recognised as part of the New Year’s Honours List.
A recognised leader in the payments industry
Dave was nominated for the leadership of ICC Solutions in 1996, with the company going from strength to strength in the two decades plus since, becoming a recognised leader in the payments industry in the process, and winning an exceptional four Queen’s Awards of Enterprise in the Innovation and International Trade categories.
David was also recently appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant in Cheshire and is Chairman of the Cheshire Commonwealth Association – working closely with the Department for International Trade.
David said:
“I am absolutely elated and truly honoured to be the recipient of an O.B.E. This award is the pinnacle of my career so far and I feel privileged to be the co-founder of ICC Solutions and have the opportunity to make such a positive influence on the British Economy.”
Supporting Young International Traders
Both David and Wendy are keen to help others and support many charities including The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and, more locally, Warrington Youth Club.
Not content with just being a contributor to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, ICC Solutions has successfully developed an exporting skill, which helps young people achieve their DofE Award through education – and helping to inspire future British exporters.
