An enormous congratulations to five of our corporate and business members – the highest number to date, who have received a coveted Queen’s Award in International Trade for their innovation, vision and trailblazing achievements.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are only given to companies or individuals who demonstrate excellence in their field. Celebrating their 50th anniversary, 2016 sees an unprecedented 254 awards being presented: 150 for International Trade, 92 for Innovation, 7 for Sustainable Development and 5 for Enterprise Promotion.
We wish continued success to our corporate members, TestPlant Ltd and Nasco UK Ltd – with TestPlant scooping the accolade for the third time – and to ICC Solutions, Oxford Royale Academy and Inciner8 International – a double winner that was also honoured in the Innovation category.
TestPlant, an international software company with operations across Europe, North America and Asia, is the maker of the eggPlant range of software quality tools. Nasco is a wholesaler and exporter of great British brands, such as Pringles, Evian and Cadbury, that also provides in-house datecoding and labelling services.

Oxford Royale Academy is the prestigious Oxford summer school which welcomes students from more than 90 countries to its world-class cultural and academic courses every summer – and Inciner8 is the leading incinerator manufacturer in Britain, revolutionising processes to achieve clean air emissions from waste destruction.
In addition to being able to use The Queen’s Award emblem as part of their advertising, marketing and packaging for five years, winners in the International Trade category also receive a year’s free membership of the Institute of Export.
Our Director General Lesley Batchelor, said “Congratulations to all the worthy winners. It’s tremendous to see so many of our inspirational members leading the way in international trade and receiving this honour. Winning one of The Queen’s Award for International Trade provides worldwide recognition and demonstrates that a company is outstanding in its field. We also know from previous winners that winning the award brings added commercial value to a business and we encourage more of our members to enter the awards.”
International Trade category winners are invited to our annual gala dinner, which is held to honour the winners and celebrate their achievements. This year’s event will take place on September 28th in London.
