We have spent the last 80 years keeping pace with the seismic changes that have affected international trade, ensuring that we are at the forefront of any developments and best placed to advise our members, so that they can in turn demonstrate confidence and competence to their customers.
With this in mind, we are pleased to announce the launch of our Technical Help for Exporters service, which will provide a vital boon to any business with a complex exporting issue or query.
Once an enquiry is made, our highly trained personnel will gather all relevant details before forwarding the matter to one of our qualified experts. Staff are sensitive to the fact that callers have varying levels of proficiency with regards to certain exporting topics and will gather the required information accordingly.
This new service differs from our existing enquiry service in that it is equipped to deal with, and more importantly solve, a wide range of detailed and complex queries, rather than simply offering general advice and guidance.
Available to members and non-members alike, this dedicated service is accessible via telephone and email and is delivered on two levels; the first dealing with enquiries relating to documentation, export controls, bribery act, customs and VAT procedures, regulatory and compliance issues, insurance issues, payment terms and transport and logistics. Use of the Technical Help for Exporters service for advice and support on these topics is included free within our membership package, and at a competitive rate for non-members.
More in-depth enquires are managed as tailored projects and referred to specific experts for their guidance and input. These bespoke projects will be costed on a case by case basis, dependent upon the time and resources required.
Such projects could include support and guidance on:
• Documentation audits
• Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) assessments
• Market research
• Financial planning: working capital / risk assessment
• Product Registration
• Customs procedures: valuation, origin, customs
• Export Licence assessment and application
• Documentation management and preparation
• Credit risk assessment
• Freight management
• Preparation for customs audit
• International Terms & Conditions
The dynamic nature of global regulatory, economic and fiscal change can be daunting for many exporters, both experienced and novice. Our new helpline is there to aid, advise and support businesses as they negotiate the often complex issues relating to international trade to help them to secure future business growth.
